Cristiano Ronaldo is the second highest paid athlete according to Forbes and is estimated to be worth £361 million. In the past year the Portuguese footballer made a staggering £87.8 million thanks to a combination of his sports earnings and endorsements. Lionel Messi is the highest paid soccer player in the world, with his 2018 earnings netting him £102.3 million in comparison.

Ronaldo made £52.35 million on endorsement deals alone in 2018, leveraging his celebrity status as well as his large social media following.

In fact, Ronaldo also places third on Hopper HQ’s Instagram Rich list and a single sponsored post on his account is estimated to cost £786k - the third highest figure behind Kylie Jenner and Ariana Grande.

Ronaldo currently has 195 million followers, with sponsored posts from the likes of SIXPAD Europe, Clear Haircare and Nike.

Speaking of Nike, Ronaldo also signed a lifetime contract with the athletic brand estimated to be valued at £804 million.

The football star was, however, found guilty of tax fraud between 2010 and 2014 earlier this January, agreeing to pay £16.5 million.

Ronaldo signed to Juventus in 2018 after a long stint with Real Madrid and his four year contract is believed to be worth £51.5 million annually, according to Forbes.

The team appears to have made a large amount of their money back, as it was reported Juventus sold £51.57 million worth of Ronaldo jerseys within 24 hours of releasing them.

Ronaldo isn’t shy about using his hard-earned fortune to treat himself. With a vast real estate portfolio estimated to be worth £27 million, the star has recently relocated to Turin to be closer to his new football team.

According to Goal.com, Ronaldo lives in a private property that is reportedly built up of two interconnected villas with a swimming pool and gym.

The star additionally owns a £5.7 million Madrid home which he has shared on Instagram, which was designed by Joaquin Torres and features two pools, seven bedrooms, a gym and large portraits of himself.

He is also said to be neighbours with UFC champion Conor McGregor, as Ronaldo is believed to have purchased a £1.3 million Marbella holiday home next door to him.

McGregor isn’t his only unusual neighbour, as he also has a three bedroom New York apartment in the Trump Tower estimated to cost £14.9 million.

Ronaldo is a car aficionado and has a small fleet of luxury cars, which reportedly includes one of the rarest Bugatti’s of all time: a £15.22 million La Voiture Noire Bugatti.

Local outlets in Spain reported that Ronaldo has purchased it, adding to his collection of cars which include a Bugatti Chiron, a £330k white Rolls Royce Cullinan, Lamborghini Aventador and more.

His need for speed doesn’t end where the ground does however, as Ronaldo purchased a £13.5 million private jet in 2015 - setting the stage for Drake to buy his own Air Drake private cargojet in 2018.

The football player is always impeccably dressed (generally in Nike), but when he does splash out on clothing he really splashes out. For example, he owns a Breguet Double Tourbillon that retails for £773,000.

He also blinded reporters at a 2018 press conference when he wore a £1.8 million diamond-encrusted watch, designed specifically for the football player by Jacob & Co and fitted with 424 white diamonds.
