Crowd Cheers in London's Parliament Square After May's Brexit Vote Defeat

Anti-Brexit demonstrators cheered as the defeat of Prime Minister Theresa May’s Brexit deal with the European Union was broadcast on a big screen in Parliament Square, outside the House of Commons, in London, on January 15.

May’s deal was defeated by 432 votes to 202 – the largest government defeat since 1924.
