Crowd in Yangon Raise Three-Finger Salute as Anti-Military Protests Continue

Protesters brought several roads to a standstill in Yangon as anti-military protests continued in Myanmar on February 17.

Frontier Myanmar said the protests around Sule Pagoda in downtown Yangon seemed "larger than they’ve ever been so far”.

Video here shows people in the crowd raising a three-finger salute. The gesture, inspired by the Hunger Games films, has been associated with pro-democracy protests since it was taken up in Thailand in 2014.
