Large crowds were reported at New Jersey beaches on Friday, July 3, as additional coronavirus restrictions eased in time for the Fourth of July weekend.

New Jersey’s casinos, amusement parks and water parks reopened ahead of the holiday weekend, drawing crowds to the shore.

Officials in Cape May County issued an “urgent request” for people to wear face coverings in public ahead of an expected influx of visitors in July and August, local media reported.
