Crowds rush barriers following long delays at London festival

Long queues prompted crowds to push through security barriers at a festival in London on Saturday.

Hundreds gathered at security barriers at We Are FSTVL and eyewitnesses said some people fainted after waiting three hours to enter the festival.

Festival organisers apologised for the delay on Saturday.

The two-day festival is held in Upminster in East London and its Saturday line-up included Chase and Status and CamelPhat.

One woman said that her group paid £75 a ticket for VIP wristbands and didn't even get to the gate because of the queues.

"It was absolute carnage," she said, "I have never seen anything quite like it."

"I have been to a lot of festivals but there wasn't any control.

"People were pushing and some were putting cigarettes out on others. There was no security around that area, they were at the front."
