Crowds Throng Streets of Tel Aviv as Netanyahu Pauses Reform Plan

Police told local media 38 arrests were made in Tel Aviv on March 27-28, as protesters packed the streets of the city and elsewhere in Israel, before Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he would pause a controversial judicial reform plan.

Video by Instagram user @xrup shows protesters waving Israeli flags, a fire burning on a Tel Aviv street, and police spraying protesters with a water cannon.

Haaretz said three arrests were made in Jerusalem, and that a Palestinian taxi driver was attacked.
