The Crown actor Emma Corrin has been spotted sporting a baby bump as she films scenes as Princess Diana.

The fourth season is set to introduce Corrin as Lady Diana Spencer, in a storyline that will see her meet, marry and eventually have children with Josh O'Connor's Prince Charles.

In one of the photos from the set, the 24-year-old actor can be seen wearing a blue button-up dress while she laughs and holds a child playing Diana and Charles' eldest son William. The character's pregnant belly – which will lead up to the birth of William's brother Harry – can be seen rather clearly.

Corrin and O'Connor were joined on set by Erin Doherty, who made her debut as Queen Elizabeth II's daughter and Charles' sister Margaret in the Netflix drama's third season, and a very well-behaved dog too.

It's expected that the breakdown of Charles and Diana's marriage – as well as his rekindling of his romance with Camilla Shand (later Parker-Bowles), which started in the most recent season – will be explored next series.

Another newbie set to join Olivia Colman, Tobias Menzies and Helena Bonham Carter for the show's fourth series is Sex Education star Gillian Thatcher, who's portraying Margaret Thatcher.
