The Crown star Erin Richards' new crime drama Ar y Ffin (or, On the Edge) has released first-look images.
Richards leads Alibi and S4C's Welsh-language drama as a court magistrate whose loyalties to law and order are tested due to the involvement of a close friend in a criminal case.
Former EastEnders and Holby City star Hannah Daniel has written the six-part series along with real-life magistrate Georgia Lee.

The drama follows magistrate Claire Lewis Jones facing an ethical crisis as her daughter Beca's childhood friend Ned Humphries is arrested for arson.
Claire's connection to the case is tested further by the reappearance of notorious gangster Saint Pete (Downton Abbey's Tom Cullen), with whom she has a previous connection.
The ensemble cast for Ar y Ffin — which airs this December on S4C in Wales and then on Alibi next spring under the name Mudtown — includes Lauren Morais (The Red King) as Claire's daughter Beca Lewis Jones, plus Matthew Gravelle (Broadchurch), Lloyd Meredith (Gran Turismo) and Kimberley Nixon (Partygate) in supporting roles.
Producer Hannah Thomas has said of Ar y Ffin: “I’m truly excited to be able to bring this fresh new drama to audiences in Wales and beyond. I think that viewers will enjoy seeing Newport on the screen — it really is a cinematic city — and our story is an authentic and contemporary twist on the genre.
"Hannah Daniel and Georgia Lee have created some brilliant characters and I’m looking forward to people getting to know them as our series unfolds.”
Filming on the first season was recently completed in Newport, Wales.
Ar y Ffin's lead actor Erin Richards is probably best remembered for playing Barbara Kean in the Batman prequel show Gotham. She also notably portrayed Dodi Fayed's ex-girlfriend Kelly Fisher in Netflix's The Crown in seasons five and six.
Her co-star Tom Cullen starred in Downton Abbey as Viscount Gillingham, in addition to appearing in Knightfall, Black Mirror, and Becoming Elizabeth. Lauren Morais and Lloyd Meredith both recently starred in Alibi's The Red King.
Ar y Ffin airs first on S4C from December 29, before streaming on the BBC iPlayer. It will air under the name Mudtown on Alibi in the spring of 2025.
