Croydon man left with life changing injuries after horror stabbing

A man has been left with life changing injuries following a horror stabbing at a home in New Addington. The victim was found at around 10.50pm on Sunday, February 2, on Lodge Lane, having staggered there from the address on nearby Elmside.

There have been no arrests and the attacker is on the loose. Anyone with information is asked to call police via 101 reference CAD 7151/02Feb.

A Met Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at about 10.50pm on Sunday, February 2, to reports of a man found injured in the road on Lodge Lane in Croydon. Emergency services attended. The man, who is believed to be aged in his 40s, was found to be suffering from stab injuries.

"He has been taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition. His next of kin are aware. A crime scene is in place. There have been no arrests and enquiries continue. Anyone with information is asked to call police via 101 reference CAD 7151/02Feb."

A London Ambulance spokesperson told MyLondon said: “We were called at 10.55pm yesterday (February 2) to reports of a stabbing in Lodge Lane, New Addington. We sent a number of resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast-response car and an incident response officer.

“We also dispatched a trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance, which consisted of a paramedic and a doctor in a car. We treated one patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre.”
