Dog days: here's how to tune into Crufts this year: Channel 4/Lisa A Croft-Elliott

If you’re precious about pups, daft for dogs, or cuckoo for canines, this is the weekend(ish) you've been waiting for.

Yes, Crufts is back for another year, bringing dogs of all shapes and sizes in a huge array of competitions.

Who’ll take best in show? Who’ll come out top dog? And who – will we ever find out – is a good boy?

Here’s how to watch Crufts 2017, and everything you need to know.

1) Watching on TV

Channel 4 have once again nabbed the rights to the show this year, with a highlights show airing each day.

On Thursday, tune in to More4 from 6.30pm top 8pm, and switch over to Channel 4 for an hour more at 8pm. On Friday, More4’s coverage begins at 6.30pm and switches to Channel 4 at 7.30pm.

On Saturday, Channel 4 have two hours of coverage from 7pm. On Sunday, Channel 4’s coverage begins at 6pm and lasts until 8.30pm.

2) Schedule

There are hundreds of dogs and competitions taking place over the weekend – but if there’s one event you’re particularly looking out for, check out the official schedule here.

Best in Show will round off the last night of Crufts on Sunday.

3) Live stream

If you can’t look away from the action for a second, you’ll be pleased to know that there’s a live stream on YouTube.

Each day will be streamed as a separate video, and you can catch the first one below here.

4) Tickets

Advance tickets are no longer on sale for Crufts, but if a trip to Birmingham’s NEC isn’t out of the cards you can try your luck on the door.

Friday tickets cost £18, while Saturday and Sunday cost £20 – any kids under 12 go free.
