Nick Naydev jump: Cruise ship passenger plunges 100 feet as he leaps into sea from eleventh floor in 'stupid' stunt

A man filmed leaping from the eleventh floor of a cruise ship into the water more than 100 feet below has been banned from Royal Caribbean liners for life.

Nick Naydev, 27, posted dramatic footage of his own stunt, which has been branded “stupid and reckless”, on social media in an apparent bid for internet stardom.

He was travelling on the Symphony of the Seas with a group of friends before the terrifying jump saw that they were kicked off the cruise ship and banned for life.

In a statement, Royal Caribbean branded Mr Naydev’s behaviour “stupid” and said it was exploring legal action after the incident on the vessel in Nassau, Bahamas.

A short video shared on Instagram shows Mr Naydev, from Vancouver, smiling and looking over to his friends as he climbs the ledge in preparation for the jump.

He then takes a moment to compose himself before leaping from the side with his arms flailing as he plummets more than 100 feet into the sea below.

The video – captioned “full send” - quickly went viral, receiving more than 110,000 views on Instagram after it was posted last week.

Royal Caribbean told USA Today: “This was stupid and reckless behaviour and he and his companions have been banned from ever sailing with us again. We are exploring legal action.”
