Crystal Palace manager Sam Allardyce will meet chairman Steve Parish this week to discuss the club’s transfer strategy this summer.

It has been reported Allardyce has some concerns over the club's transfer plans and the talks could determine his future.

But Palace expect the 62-year-old, who wants to build for the long-term, to be in charge next season.

Allardyce signed a two-and-a-half-year deal at Palace in December, when the club were languishing in 17th place. But the Palace boss was given the board's backing in January, splurging more than £30million to bring in four new players.

Asked about his plans to take the club forward after clinching survival, Allardyce said: "It's the usual. Grow, develop, invest.

"Make sure you choose the right players and not the wrong ones.

"That's the difficult task in the summer: recruitment. Any player we bring has to be much better than the player we've already got."
