Crystal Palace have been given hope in their pursuit of Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun after the Turkish club indicated they are willing to sell him for around £20million in January.

Palace made a late bid to sign Tosun on deadline day in August and are weighing up another move for the 26-year-old when the transfer window reopens.

Tosun scored twice in the Champions League last night to give Besiktas a 2-1 win in Monaco and his good form means he is now expected to attract interest from clubs across Europe.

Besiktas had indicated before last night they are willing to listen to offers for the Turkey international and Palace will have been watching his perofmrance last night with interest.

Tosun has scored eight goals in 13 games this season and has said he would be open to a move to the Premier League. His contract with Besiktas is thought to run until the end of next season.
