- French association football manager and former player
Patrick Vieira will be looking to the FA Cup as a chance to build more momentum after a bright start to his reign as Crystal Palace manager - and, as promised, the Frenchman has named a strong starting XI.
Indeed, ahead of Saturday’s third-round clash away at London rivals Millwall, the Frenchman has promised to play as strong a side as possible, albeit having lost a number of players to the Africa Cup of Nations of late.
Talking up the importance of the FA Cup, a competition he won five times as a player, Vieira said: “‘It is a derby, it is the FA Cup and it will be challenging. We will need our best starting XI to compete and to try to win the game.”
