Cuban Embassy in Washington Attacked with Molotov Cocktails

The Cuban embassy in Washington had Molotov cocktails thrown at it on Sunday, September 24, the embassy said, releasing video of what it described as a “terrorist attack”.

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla said staff “suffered no harm” in what he said was the “second violent attack against Cuba’s diplomatic mission”. Parrilla referenced a 2020 incident in which shots were fired at the embassy.

US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan “strongly condemned” the incident, according to a statement released by the White House. Sullivan said there would be “an appropriate and timely investigation.”
