The UK's leading retailer of automotive and cycling products and car servicing and repairs company Halfords is looking to recruit new colleagues in Coventry. The automotive business is looking to fill five vacancies within its team.

The roles include Customer Service Advisor, Team Manager, MOT Tester, and Vehicle and Tyre Technician. The roles include full-time and part-time vacancies and permanent contracts.

Customer Sales Advisor

The role is part-time for 16 hours a week, with £8.60 per hour for under-21s and £11.44 for over-21s. The candidate will need experience delivering great customer service, ideally in a retail sales environment, problem-solving skills, some experience working towards or achieving sales targets, a proactive approach to helping customers and understanding their needs, and the ability to work on a rota basis, including weekends.

MOT Tester

The skills and experience needed for an MOT tester include a current MOT testing license, a full driver's license with less than nine points, and being a team player willing to assist with workshop carrying out light vehicle maintenance when not performing MOTs. The role is full-time for five days a week, with an annual salary between £30,900 and £35,000, an average uncapped bonus of £5,800 per year, and the potential to earn more.

Vehicle Technician

The applicant will already be skilled in servicing/repair and replacement work. They can carry out complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements and diagnostics in vehicle electrics, brake steering, and suspension systems. The applicant must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time-served experience, a full driver's license with no more than nine points, and be an experienced technician or mechanic who can carry out diagnostic work and more complex repairs.

The role is full-time, with an annual salary between £29,886 and £33,583 and an average uncapped bonus of £4,800 per year. It is based at National Tyres and Autocare in Coventry.

Team Manager - Coventry Distribution Centre

The team manager will support the Operations Manager role in providing the site and its customers with excellent service by taking ownership and responsibility for the shared warehouse duties on allocated shifts and team-wide accountability for specifically delegated roles.

The manager's responsibilities include leading, developing and motivating direct report to deliver or exceed objectives and KPIs, organise resource, delegate tasks, work collaboratively with all internal and external stakeholders, ensure compliance against company, legal and health and safety producers, and deputies for the manager in their abscence. The role is full-time with a salary of up to £33,500 plus aligned company benefits.

Tyre Technician

The skills and experience needed for a tire technician include experience in tire fitting and fast fit, a current valid driving license, experience in meeting compliance standards across health and safety, and the drive to provide great customer experiences. The role is full-time for five days a week, with a salary of £27,175 to £28,216 with an average uncapped bonus of £3,600 per year.
