Curtis and AJ Pritchard land new presenting role on ITV's Lorraine

Love Island’s Curtis Prichard and his brother AJ will put their dancing skills to use for a new role on ITV’s Lorraine.

The professional ballroom dancers will join presenter Lorraine Kelly on her daytime TV show to surprise viewers who are going through a tough time.

In two films the brothers, are going to visit viewers in the UK who are in need of cheering up.

They hope to spread a sweet message about the power of dance and how it can help people to overcome life’s struggles.

Curtis, also known for his role on the Irish version of Dancing With The Stars, told The Sun: “It’s been a whirlwind since leaving Love Island and I’m so excited to have the opportunity to join the team at Lorraine.

“I know the positive effect dance can have on people’s lives and I can’t wait to get the chance to spread that message around with AJ.”

Strictly Come Dancing’s AJ added: “Lorraine and the team on the show have always been great to work with and I’m looking forward to working together long term.”

Since coming fourth in Love Island with partner Maura Higgins, Curtis has lined up a job on RuPaul's Drag Race UK.

He also joins The Greatest Dancer as the show's receptionist, whose job it is to greet the contestants before they go on stage.

Earlier this month, Good Morning Britain viewers blasted the show's hosts following an awkward interview with Curtis, in which he was asked to clarify comments on his sexuality. The former islander had previously said that “love is blind” and claimed that he could date a man in the future.

The presenters were criticised by Twitter users for “forcing” Curtis to “label” his sexuality.

Love Island's Curtis asked about sexuality on Good Morning Britain

The 23-year-old kept calm and explained to Kate Garraway and Adil Ray that he “doesn’t want to label himself” when it comes to his sexuality.

"The future's a road which is unwritten," he said. "Nobody can ever say what's going to happen in the future, really. Last year, would I have ever said I'd be on Love Island? No, and this year I was on Love Island.

"So, I never want to label what the future's going to be, because I don't think anyone can ever really do that.

“So, all I want to say is I'm 100% comfortable where I am now in my relationship with Maura [Higgins], and it is moving in the correct direction."

Viewers were left unimpressed with the "awful" chat, and accused the ITV hosts of trying to “force” him to say he is bisexual.
