Curtis Jones responds as girlfriend issues 'tearful' family update

Liverpool FC’s Curtis Jones sent a message to his girlfriend after she issued a family update. Curtis is becoming a crucial part of Arne Slot’s team, and impressed again in midfield as the Reds beat Aston Villa 2-0 to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table.

Away from the pitch, the Scouser has been in a relationship with model Saffie Khan for a number of years now. Saffie announced the birth of their baby girl on Tuesday, October 15.

In a joint Instagram post the couple said: “Giselle Delilah Jones, 13.10.24. You are our entire world.” This was accompanied by a series of pictures of the couple and their new baby daughter.

Curtis delivered a man of the match performance a few days later against Chelsea and in his post-match interview described being a dad as "the best thing ever”. Curtis’ form has not gone unnoticed outside of Merseyside.

Last Thursday, it was announced he had been called up to the England squad for their nations league matches against Greece and the Republic of Ireland, which will take place this week. It is Curtis’ second senior international call-up. During his first in October, he had to leave the squad to see the birth of his daughter and therefore did not play in any games.

Saffie was delighted to see Curtis being part of the international set-up again. In a post on her Instagram story that day, she shared a picture of the squad and tagged Curtis.

In the story, she said she was “so proud”, followed by emojis of a face holding back tears, the England flag and a love heart. Saffie followed this with a snap of Curtis holding Giselle and said “daddy’s girl.” She followed this with another emoji of a face holding back tears.

This weekend, Saffie took to Instagram again to share a series of pictures of her wearing clothes from Liverpool activewear brand Red Run. In the comments, Curtis said: “Cool mum.” Saffie replied with an emoji of a smiling face.
