Cute Alert: Baby Panda Cubs Playing Are Very, Very Adorable

It’s a nursery school with a difference. And the pupils are very, very cute.

Visitors to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in China just cannot stop saying “Awwww…”

As these images show, the panda cubs who hang out there are ridiculously adorable.

The centre specialises in breeding and nursing giant pandas. According to the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), there are as few as 1,864 left alive in the wild.

However, there were only 1,000 wild giant pandas in the late 1970s, and the population has grown by 17% in the past decade.

More than 100 giant pandas have been born at the base at Chengdu since it was founded in 1987, when it started with just six giant pandas.

Last month, it welcomed its latest arrivals; two female panda cubs born to Kei Lin.

Female giant pandas only breed for between two and four days each year and give birth to one cub every two years.
