The CW announces fate of several shows

The CW has awarded a number of its shows that golden ticket series renewal.

This means celebrations can commence for fans of dystopian fiction thriller The 100, new reboot Roswell, In the Dark and All American – because for the first time in the channel's history The CW isn't cancelling a single freshman project this year.

Via The Hollywood Reporter, president of The CW Television Network Mark Pedowitz stated: "As we begin to plan for the 2019-20 season, we're thrilled to have this roster of 14 exceptionally creative and distinctive series, including all five first-year shows, as the foundation on which to continue to build the multi-platform future of The CW.

"One of our key long-term goals has been to continually add more original programming all year round, especially in mid-season and summer, and with these returning shows and the new series we'll order as we get closer to the May upfront, next season on The CW is shaping up to be our most robust year-round schedule yet."

Although this superhero series only currently has a pilot order, it'll break huge ground in the industry if a full series is commissioned, as it'll become the first US series of its kind.
