A teenage cyclist has been taken to hospital after a collision with a car. The incident in Blurton left Blurton Road shut for just over an hour.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene just before 9.55pm on Friday (September 13). Today West Midlands Ambulance Service says the cyclist, a 19-year-old, was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital with 'potentially serious injuries'.

Staffordshire Police say officers called to the scene found a collision between an Audi A3 and a cyclist - with the road being subsequently shut. It reopened at around 11.15pm.
