Cyclist in Royal Stoke after crash with van on Stoke-on-Trent road

A cyclist was taken to hospital following a collision with a van on a busy Stoke-on-Trent road. Police and paramedics were called to the incident on Fenton's King Street on Saturday.

StokeonTrentLive reported at the time how the emergency services were spotted at the road's junction with Bishop Street. West Midlands Ambulance Service say they were called to the scene just before 9am.

A spokeswoman said: "We were called to an RTC involving a cyclist and van on King Street. One ambulance attended and arrived to find a man who had come off his bicycle following a collision with a van.

"The man was assessed and found to have sustained relatively minor injuries. He was conveyed to Royal Stoke University Hospital as a precaution."
