A cyclist has been rushed to hospital following a collision with a Tesla in Tooting.

The white car smashed into the bike on Charlmont Road around 1am on Saturday.

The cyclist, a man aged 30, was taken to hospital. His condition is not life-threatening.

Pictures from the scene reveal the impact was severe enough to bend the street sign at a sharp angle over the crumpled bonnet of the car. The bike, wedged between the vehicle and the sign, appears to have borne the brunt of the collision.

Police have cordoned off the area with tape as curious onlookers gather near local shops.
