Cyclist 'seriously injured' in crash with lorry in Irvine as police launch appeal
A cyclist has been seriously injured following a crash with a lorry in Irvine yesterday afternoon.
Police are appealing for information after the incident which occurred on the B7080 Long Drive near to the Oldhall Roundabout.
The cyclist, a 61-year-old man, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with what were described as "serious injuries" following the crash at around 3.30pm on Thursday, November 14.

There were no other reports of any injuries and the road was closed for around eight hours to allow for investigations to be carried out.
Sergeant Gordon Stewart said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash and who has not already spoken to officers to get in touch.
“I would also appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have dash cam footage which could assist to contact us.”
