Cyclist spotted on M8 motorway slammed as 'line of buses' queue up behind leaving driver stunned

A brazen cyclist has caused uproar after being spotted pedalling down the M8, causing a queue of buses to form behind them.

The incident occurred near Glasgow Airport at junction 28 around 6am on Tuesday (September 10), leaving motorists astonished.

Nicholas Miller was on his way to work when he witnessed the "ridiculous" situation unravel on the road with a speed limit of 70mph.

He spoke to Glasgow Live. about his experience, saying: "I just passed a cyclist on the M8 heading east across the bridge at Glasgow Airport.

"It was ridiculous, a line of buses were behind them. They had no lights on so it was quite dangerous too."

Previous reports of cyclists risking their lives on the M8 have been made, including an occasion where someone was cycling on the Kingston Bridge, and another instance where a delivery rider was seen amongst speeding traffic.
