Cyclists Film Close Encounter With Grizzly Bear in Montana's Glacier National Park
A grizzly bear using a road in Montana’s Glacier National Park came a little too close to a group of cyclists for their comfort, video shows.
Warren Gerber said he recorded this footage on May 1 as he and his wife, Maureen, enjoyed a bicycle ride on Going-to-the-Sun Road.
As the bear approaches, the group raise their voices in hopes that the grizzly will keep walking. According to the National Park Service, (NPS) grizzlies might be more intimidated by groups of people than by one individual.
Researchers estimate nearly 1,000 grizzly bears live in Glacier National Park, the NPS said. Credit: Warren Gerber via Storyful
