Cyclone Freddy could be longest-lasting storm on record
Mozambique, Madagascar and Malawi are counting the cost of Cyclone Freddy, which ripped through their region for the second time in a month over the weekend, leaving at least 70 people dead. Freddy is one of the strongest storms ever recorded in the southern hemisphere, and could be the longest-lasting tropical cyclone, according to the World Meteorological Organization.
