The boy’s age and name were not released by authorities.According to a translation by Euronews, an onlooker can be heard saying “move your knee, brother” and “that’s not funny.”A police statement translated by Google said, "The [incident] occurred on Saturday, August 15, 2020, at around 7.30 pm on Neustraße in Düsseldorf’s old town. Officials from the Düsseldorf police had previously been called to a nearby restaurant because of a group of around ten rioters.“During the on-site clarification of the facts, a young person who was apparently uninvolved in the actual event disrupted the police measures. As part of the identification process, this led to an assault on police officers. The youth then resisted and had to be taken to the city center police station for identification. Here he was handed over to the care of his legal guardians after the police measures were completed,” police said. The video was being “intensively analyzed and evaluated with regard to the manner in which the police intervene,” the statement said.
