Dad Shares 'Mario Kart' Moment With Daughter Via Elaborate Trick

A Florida dad with an eagerness to share his favorite video games with his daughter pretended to connect the steering wheel of a toy Mario Kart to a Nintendo 64 controller to help her focus.

The video was recorded by Oswald C Wallace III and shows him as he opens a Nintendo 64 controller and “connects” it to the toy car’s steering wheel. Though the connection isn’t in fact real, it is enough to convince the little girl, who seems delighted by her steering progress.

Wallace told Storyful that the sleight of hand was “more used as a ‘hack’ concept video” and that the main point of the finagling was to share a nostalgic video game moment with his daughter. Credit: Oswald C Wallace III via Storyful
