A former Mersey Ferry has been transformed into a floating restaurant and bar space. For more than six decades, the MV Royal Daffodil took thousands of passengers across the river connecting Liverpool and the Wirral before being decommissioned and falling into disrepair.

Saved from the scrapheap, the new look Daffodil will be anchored at a mooring point located within Canning Dock, leased from Canal and River Trust. The ship's focal point, a 126-cover restaurant, is located on the vessel's main deck.

The Promenade bar area, which has been completely refurbished, remains on the upper deck. The team has also confirmed a Wheelhouse mini-museum exhibit, dedicated to the history of the Mersey Ferries, is still in the pipeline, pending funding.
