Kuhlenschmidt is a stand-up comedian, actress and writer, who recurred in the final season of Max’s Search Party and was in the first season of Peacock’s Killing It.
During last night’s show, hosted by Desus Nice, Kuhlenschmidt was introduced in a skit alongside contributor Michael Kosta. Now that we have an answer to the question of whether one should take $500,000 or lunch with Jay-Z (Jay said take the money), the duo were answering the question themselves.
Kuhlenschmidt said that you should “definitely have lunch with Jay-Z” as he “probably has Beyonce’s phone number”.
Kuhlenschmidt, who was recognized as a New Faces: Creators by Just For Laughs Montreal Comedy Festival, also appeared in the first season of Showtime’s Ziwe and wrote for Audible podcast Hot White Heist, which was directed by Alan Cumming and produced by Lorne Michaels’ Broadway Video.
She marks the second new face in just over a week; last week, Troy Iwata made his debut on an episode co-hosted by Kosta and Ronny Chieng.
Iwata has starred in series such as Apple’s WeCrashed, alongside Jared Leto and Anne Hathaway, and Netflix’s Dash & Lily and has also featured in shows such as NBC’s New Amsterdam and The CW’s Katy Keene.
It’s not entirely clear what the pair’s role on the show is but both performed admirably.
Next week, Charlamagne tha God hosts the show.
Jen Flanz serves as showrunner, writer and exec producer of The Daily Show with Ramin Hedayati, Justin Melkmann and Zhubin Parang as co-exec producers. Dan Amira is head writer.
Kuhlenschmidt is repped by UTA.
