Dakota Pipeline Protesters Show Up at Hillary Clinton's HQ

Protesters seeking to block the Dakota Access Pipeline entered Hillary Clinton’s campaign headquarters in Brooklyn on October 27.

The event was inspired by the ongoing encampment of demonstrators at the pipeline site in North Dakota. Those against the pipeline say its construction encroaches on sacred Native American land and could harm the area’s water supply. The Justice Department has said it would refuse permits for the pipeline to cross nearby Lake Oahe, but construction has continued in other areas.

Police and National Guard were expected to remove the Dakota camp; demonstrators at Clinton headquarters held a ceremony and speakout before attempting to deliver a letter to Clinton’s team condemning the pipeline. Credit: Instagram/unitedforpeaceandjustice
