Dalbeattie High School boys claim victory in Dr Turner’s Regional Hockey Tournament

The S2 and S3 boys from Dalbeattie High have claimed victory in the prestigious Dr Turner’s Regional Hockey Tournament.

The annual event features some of the best young hockey talent from around the region. Competing against strong teams from Wallace Hall, Moffat, St Joseph’s College and Douglas Ewart, the boys displayed exceptional skill, teamwork and determination to emerge as champions.

While the boys celebrated their victory, the girls’ team also delivered an impressive performance in their section of the tournament. Facing tough competition, the girls secured a fourth place finish, with a record of one win, one loss, and four draws. Their spirited play and resilience were on full display, providing the spectators with some thrilling moments.

The event was made possible thanks to Dumfries Hockey Club, who did a fantastic job hosting and organising the tournament. Their efforts ensured a smoothly run competition that brought out the best in all the participants.
