Final preparations are being made for Dalbeattie and District Rotary Club’s Santa’s Grotto experience.

The event will be held over the weekends of November 30/December 1 and December 7 and 8 at Glaisters Farm, the home of the Scottish Christmas Tree Centre, where Rory Young and his team have constructed a superb Santa’s Grotto in amongst the Christmas trees they have for sale.

As well as meeting Santa in his grotto, young people can take part in a range of other activities while they wait their turn to meet the man in the red suit. Refreshments will also be available from Brigston Catering.

Santa’s Grotto is a major community fundraising event for the club and there is a suggested minimum donation of £5 per child which will include a gift from Santa and access to the other activities which are included.

All proceeds will go to Dalbeattie Food Bank (now called Community Pantry) for Christmas hampers. The club is very grateful to Dalbeattie Book Shop which is sourcing gifts.
