On what would have been his 63rd birthday, legendary TV presenter Dale Winton has been laid to rest.

Plenty of the Supermarket Sweep host's famous friends turned out to pay their respects (via Sky News).

Among the celebrities who attended the ceremony at Old Church in London were close friend David Walliams, Anthea Turner, Martine McCutcheon, Matthew Wright, Gloria Hunniford, Graeme Souness, Vanessa Feltz and Piers Morgan.

Boyband Blue performed their hit 'One Love' at the funeral, while Claire Sweeney sung Cilla Black's 'Alfie' and 'Going Back', originally by Dusty Springfield.

McCutcheon and Walliams also performed readings as part of the ceremony, with Walliams reading 'If You Go', a song that Springfield had also recorded in her career.

Ever since Winton passed away on April 18, stars have publicly shared their fondest memories of the presenter.

Britain's Got Talent judge David Walliams tweeted multiple anecdotes about their friendship. One read: "One night Dale & I were going out to dinner & he stopped off on the way to buy diet lemonade from a corner shop. He was in there about 20 minutes.

"When he finally got back in the car I asked 'what took you so long?' & he said 'sorry David I am very big with the Indian community!'"

Good Morning Britain's Piers Morgan also recalled a cheeky snog the two shared while at dinner in The Ivy restaurant.
