Dale Winton dead: Supermarket Sweep presenter dies aged 62
TV star Dale Winton has died at the age of 62, his agent has announced.
The presenter, best known for the quiz show Supermarket Sweep, died at his home earlier on Wednesday.
"It is with great sadness that we can confirm the passing of Dale Winton who died at home earlier today," long-term agent Jan Kennedy said in a statement.
"While we know many will share this terrible loss, we ask that you respect the family's privacy at this time of grief."
No further details were announced about the star's death.
Much-loved personality Winton was also known for shows Family Fortunes and In It To Win It as well as, most recently Channel 5's Dale Winton's Florida Fly Drive.
Following news of his death tributes began to pour in for the star, with many speaking out to say he was a "warm, kind and funny man".
Mourners were led by fellow presenters including Davina McCall and Piers Morgan.

Actor Michael Ball described Winton as a "true gentleman... charming and so kind".

And Blue star Antony Costa said he was "devastated" over the death of the star.
He wrote on Twitter: "No no no my old friend #dalewinton has died I'm absolutely devastated one of the most kindest men you could ever meet...#RIPdalewinton xxx."
Winton started out as a DJ in London before joining the airwaves as a radio presenter. He later started presenting on the BBC in Bristol before moving to BBC One.
The star came out as gay aged 47 and, in 2008, told an interview with The Times that he had not spoken out about his sexuality earlier because he had never been asked about it.
