Damage Seen Near Houston Ahead of Tropical Storm Nicholas' Landfall

Tropical Storm Nicholas brought strong winds and heavy rain to coastal Texas on September 13 ahead of its expected landfall on Monday evening when it could potentially reach hurricane status, the National Weather Service (NWS) said.

This footage filmed by Pearland resident Stephanie Jan Hardy shows a halved tree and downed branches on her front lawn. “First real gust of wind has hit it already took my tree down,” she wrote in a caption.
