Damon Albarn Carried Off Stage After Epic Set

Damon Albarn had to be carried off stage at a festival in Denmark after refusing to end his set which had already lasted five hours.

The Blur frontman was performing with the Africa Express project at Roskilde but seemed in no hurry to go to bed.

After the epic set, the 47-year-old, asked the crowd if they wanted him to carry on, despite it being 4am.

He played the Clash's Should I Stay Or Should I Go and when fans started cheering, he said: "F*** what everyone says. You want more, we're going to give you more."

But that did not go down too well with a security guard who then walked on stage and picked Albarn up and carried him off .

He waved to the crowd who booed as he disappeared into the wings.

Earlier in the evening Albarn performed with Laura Mvula and Blur guitarist Graham Coxon.
