Dan Walker flooded with supportive messages after 'joint statement' with Helen Skelton

Dan Walker has been flooded with support as he came together with Helen Skelton for a joint announcement. The BBC Breakfast alum and Strictly Come Dancing finalist are joining forces for a second series of their Yorkshire travel show.

The Channel 5 duo announced: "Some lovely news… we are about to start filming a new travel series for @channel5_tv. Watch this space for more details. We’ll let you know when you can watch us wandering around together as soon as we can (champagne optional."

"Oooo travel in Yorkshire? Great for my business!" another said. "Yes! The 1st series showed this southern lad how beautiful the North is!" another wrote. "Yes yes Dan and Helen this Is the best news ever I really really enjoyed the first series @mrdanwalker and @helenskelton," said another.

"Yay can't wait to watch loved your first series xxx" another said. "Really enjoyed your last series," wrote a fellow Instagram user. Dan and Helen's first series in the Pennine Mountains saw the pair cycle along Snake Pass and canoe along Standedge, camp without tents near Keighley, and visit Ilkley Moor. They also tried the high-adrenaline activity hydrospeeding.

The announcement comes after Dan urged fans to speak up if they wanted a second series. He told them: "Your comments have really been so kind and encouraging throughout the series and I have sent lots of them through to the teams at WAG and Channel 5. We’d love to make a second series somewhere else so make sure you let Channel 5 know if you want another one."
