Dancing on Ice 2018: Stephanie Waring fights back tears as she loses skate-off to Lemar Obika and becomes second star to leave

Stephanie Waring is the second star to leave this year’s Dancing On Ice after losing the skate-off to pop star Lemar Obika.

Despite stumbling in his final routine, the pop star was controversially saved by Janye Torvill and Christopher Dean during Sunday night’s show.

The former professional skaters insisted that Obika was the better skater, despite their fellow judges disagreeing.

A tearful Waring told Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield that she had has an “amazing” time and was happy that she could now “relax”.

“I think definitely there’s an improvement, but by your own admission you’re an actress and you had one face during that entire routine,” said Jason Gardiner of her first routine.

Despite being at the bottom of the leaderboard again this week and gaining just 14 points, Cheryl Baker was saved by the public yet again.

Jake Quickenden topped the leaderboard with his “energetic” and “enthusiastic” routine to Canned Heat, awarded an impressive 27.5.

Love Island’s Kem Cetinay was first up on this week’s show, performing a “cheeky” routine to I’m So Excited.

Despite a low score from judge Gardiner, the reality star earned a series high of 23.5 from the rest of the panel.

“That was frantic, it was like a wasp in a bottle. A good wasp,” said Christopher Dean.

Weatherman Alex Beresford, who managed to get 20.5, was praised for his managed the “difficult” moves

Despite hurting her abdomen earlier in the week, Donna Air managed to up her score from 17.5 to 23.5.

“You looked like you were letting your hair down and really enjoying it,” said Torvill.
