Dancing on Ice has confirmed Denise van Outen as the third celebrity to join the 2021 line-up.

The star, who appeared on The Masked Singer earlier this year, joins the previously announced Joe-Warren Plant and Myleene Klass on the 2021 line-up.

Denise's addition to the series was revealed on today's (September 23) Loose Women, though her name was accidentally announced prematurely by Linda Robson after she worked out a series of clues.

"I'm really excited," she said. "Finally I get to tell people because I've literally kept this a secret from my friends and family. [Daughter] Betsy doesn't even know, she's at school so she's going to find out this afternoon when I pick her up from school.

"I can dance, I can move, so that is going to help me a bit," Denise added. "But being on the ice is completely different, and I think even the pro skaters, even pro dancers that have tried ice skating say it's completely different.

"If I can marry the two I should be alright, but I don't know. The thing is as I've got older I'm not as confident on the ice as I would've been when I was younger, so that's against me a little bit."

Denise is no stranger to dancing shows, having finished as a runner-up on the 2012 series of Strictly Come Dancing.

Emmerdale's Joe-Warren was announced for Dancing on Ice during yesterday's This Morning, the actor admitting he was "super excited" to be on the series. Myleene, meanwhile, confirmed she was taking part on Instagram earlier this week.

Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby will return to host Dancing on Ice, while Torvill and Dean, John Barrowman and Ashley Banjo are all be back as judges.

Dancing on Ice is expected to return to ITV in 2021.
