Brooke Vincent may be coming off some huge success away from Coronation Street, but her Dancing on Ice tenure hasn't convinced her to leave the cobbles behind.

The long-time Corrie cast member is just a little over 24 hours removed from finishing as runner-up to Jake Quickenden in the Dancing on Ice finale - a placement that has caused considerable controversy.

While some soap stars have used reality competitions to launch them into the next phase of their careers (hello, Joe McFadden!), Brooke Vincent has assured OK! Magazine that she's still very keen on playing her Corrie character Sophie Webster.

"I'm happy," she insisted. "Nobody else can say they got dumped on Corrie on a Monday, and been in the final of Dancing on Ice on Sunday… I love Corrie. It's definitely my home."

Asked about the possibility of doing other reality shows in the near future, Brooke replied: "I've put everything into this, so I think it will be nice just to be Sophie Webster again."

Brooke certainly seems satisfied staying close to the cobbles for now. However, the 25-year-old actress admitted last week that she'd "love" the chance to do Strictly Come Dancing at some point.
