We knew it was going to be sometime in January, but ITV has now officially confirmed Dancing on Ice's launch date for 2019.

The new series of the figure-skating competition show will start on Sunday, January 6 at 6pm.

Dancing on Ice 2019 will feature celebrities such as Coronation Street actress Jane Danson, ex-Neighbours actor Mark Little, cricketer Ryan Sidebottom, former TOWIE star Gemma Collins, and ex-Westlife singer Brian McFadden.

Love Island's Wes Nelson is also part of the line-up, although his professional partner Vanessa Bauer recently shared concerns over the fact that he's had to miss training sessions because of his busy schedule.

"He’s very ambitious and wants to go far, but he’s so tight on his schedule, so in demand, and he’s on a ten-day holiday in Mauritius right now," she said earlier this week on This Morning.

"It worries me a little bit but he picks up everything so fast."

Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby return to front the show. It will actually be the next time they share the same screen, after Phillip confirmed Holly won't be back on This Morning until next year.

Meanwhile, Karen Barber, a long-time Dancing on Ice judge, has been confirmed to be returning to the show in the role of Head Coach.

Dancing on Ice's 2019 series will air on ITV.
