Dancing on Ice contestant Gemma Collins has admitted that she's finding skating rather "therapeutic".

Yep, rather than finding it cold, gruelling, exhausting, etc., The GC is loving life on the ice, as she revealed at today's launch (December 18) on the ice rink at London's Natural History Museum.

"I'm not just saying it," Gemma insisted. "I just love it. I don't know what's happened – I'm just at one with the ice, I love her."

She continued: "When you're on the ice, no-one can text you, no-one can ring you on your mobile phone, in a way it's very therapeutic... I'm enjoying it.

"I'm sticking it out, I'm really enjoying it."

Gemma also insisted: "[I] won't quit! I'm not here to take part, I'm here to take over."

The TOWIE star's comments come after her professional partner Matt Evers said that she'll "surprise" viewers when the series returns in January.

Speaking to FuBar Radio, Matt said: "She is working her little tail off. I think she’s really going to surprise a lot of people.

"As long as she sticks with it, because as we know with her history she hasn’t had the best – I don’t want to say she’s a quitter – but she has fully committed to this up to this point. She really wants to nail this."

Dancing on Ice returns to ITV on Sunday, January 6 at 6pm.
