Dancing on Ice judge Jayne Torvill has shared that the panel will miss Jason Gardiner when the series returns without him next year.
Jason confirmed he had quit the series back in August and earlier this month it was confirmed that the ice panel's resident 'Mr Nasty' would be replaced by John Barrowman, who's hoping to bring some "fab-u-lous" to the panel.
And now, speaking to Digital Spy and others at Monday night's (September 9) TV Choice Awards, John's new co-star Jayne Torvill revealed that the other judges will miss having Jason on the panel – although they are still looking forward to working with John.
"I think we will miss Jason and his combination of comments, his straight forward comments," Jayne said.
"Last year, for us it's still quite new, with Jason and Ashley [Banjo] and ourselves, it all worked out really well. Now we have a new member but I think it will be fun. John is a funny guy with loads of energy."
Jayne also added that it's nice Barrowman is getting the chance to return to the show after being knocked out fairly early on as a contestant in the first series.
"We worked with John in the very first series and he was really quite good because growing up in Canada he had skated a little bit and we had real high hopes for him," Jayne added.
"I think he went out in the fourth week. He was in the skate-off and he made a big mistake, I think he fell or something. There was no way the judges could keep him in so it was a big shock that he went out so early. It's nice that he could come back in a different capacity.
She continued: "I think he will bring some fair criticism, he might be quite harsh but I think he will explain it in a fun way."
And speaking of John rendering his verdict, the I'm A Celebrity star also recently revealed his thoughts about the possibility of a female James Bond.
Dancing on Ice returns to ITV in 2020.
