Dancing on Ice’s Stephanie Waring says she was ‘confused’ by exit amid ‘fix’ claims

Dancing on Ice departee Stephanie Waring has revealed that she was "confused" by the judges’ decision to send her home in Sunday night’s skate off amid ‘fix’ accusations from viewers.

Speaking on Lorraine the morning after her exit, Waring said: “The way I always thought that Dancing on Ice was, was that the skate-off was just based on that skate and everyone has the chance to improve.

“So I was like, I can’t make a mistake it all rests on this one skate, so I was very confused.”

“Mm, not the only one,” said Kelly, acknowledging criticism over Waring’s exit from DoI fans.

“There was a trip and then yet I’m the one to go home and you know, it is a lot of hard work just down the toilet, really,” continued the Hollyoaks actress.

Waring lost out to Lemar in the skate-off after the pair ended up in the bottom two, despite the singer having tripped during his repeat performance.

Many viewers were unimpressed with the judges’ decision to save Lemar, branding it ‘unfair’ and a ‘fix’.

One angry viewer wrote: Extremely unfair. @Steph_Waring definitely should not have left tonight! Was one of the best in my opinion! Judges need to screw their heads on! @dancingonice #DancingOnIce

Just caught up on @dancingonice and what an absolute joke! @Steph_Waring skated so much better and didn't fall over and she gets sent home? Swear it's fixed #DancingOnIce,” wrote one, while another tweeted: Anybody else think Steph was robbed there? #DancingOnIce

Dancing on Ice continues Sundays at 9pm on ITV.
