Dancing on Ice judge Ashley Banjo has announced the birth of his daughter on Instagram.

The news of his wife Francesca Banjo's pregnancy was confirmed back in October, and the former Britain's Got Talent winner proudly announced the arrival of little Rose Adura with his fans.

Writing to his 427,000 followers, Ashley captioned the image: "Our beautiful daughter came into the world at 6:45pm on 21st February 2019 - weighing a healthy 8lbs 13oz. Her name is Rose Adura Banjo. I am in the deepest love ever with my little family @francescabanjo I love you and am so proud #nextchapter."

The 30-year-old's exciting baby news clearly struck a chord with some users of social media, who took the opportunity to congratulate Ashley and Francesca in the comments.

One person replied: "Awwwww soooooo sweet. Congratulations to you both", whilst another shared: "Congratulations @ashleybanjogram and @francescabanjo now the fun begins and a new love that you never thought was possible."

Previously, the Diversity star spoke about who would replace him on Dancing on Ice if his wife was to go into labour during the show's production.

"I'll have to get Perri [Kiely] in," he said. "Perri or Jordan [Banjo] to sit there. On standby!"

He won't have to worry about that now though, because the show is back on our screens tomorrow (February 24) at 6pm on ITV.
