The Dancing with the Stars finale takes place on Monday night (November 23) and one of the contestants will be making a special return.

The Real host Jeannie Mai will be coming back to the show for the season 29 ending after she was forced to quit earlier this month due to a health scare.

The Wrap revealed that Jeannie would be appearing alongside other contestants from earlier in the series so that they can show their support for the finalists.

Earlier this week, Jeannie made a surprise appearance on her TV show The Real – she couldn't speak to her co-hosts but wrote on cards to catch up with them live on air.

Jeannie was resting her voice ahead of her return to the talk show next week.

On the cards Jeannie wrote: "Ladies!! I miss yall sooo much! Adrienne, your 'feels like home' concert revived me. Loni. I've read your damn book like 10 times! Garcelle, I've been loving all your glam on the gram!

"Basically I miss you all like crazy, and I'm so thankful to have The Real to keep me company everyday! Oh! And thank you for taking care of my love Jay, when he was on... (P.s. his album Recession 2 drops tomorrow).

"I'm allowed to return to work next week and can't wait! Been resting my voice and body so I am ready! Hold it down for me #realfam cuz your Asian sensation is bout to be back!"

The Dancing with the Stars finale will be hosted by Tyra Banks and will see the final four pairs perform a last-chance freestyle dance routine.

There will also be a performance for the second time this season from one of the judges, Derek Hough – while contest Nelly will perform a medley of his greatest hits (in addition to his dance routines).

The final four couples competing for the title of Dancing with the Stars winner 2020 are Justina Machado and Sasha Farber, Nelly and Daniella Karagach, Kaitlyn Bristowe and Artem Chigvintsev, and Nev Schulman and Jenna Johnson.

The Dancing with the Stars finale airs at 8pm on Monday November 23 on ABC.
