Dani Dyer has revealed she and boyfriend Sammy Kimmence have named their baby boy Santiago.

The tot arrived on Saturday 23 January but the pair had kept his name under wraps until Dani, 24, shared his moniker on the podcast she hosts alongside her father Danny Dyer.

In a voice note aired at the beginning of their latest episode, the Love Island star explained: "I know you’re all probably wondering what we’ve called him.

“There’s been a lot of assumptions going on, some are actually really funny to be fair, but his name is Santiago.

“I know a lot of you are probably thinking ‘What?!’ but that is his name but we are going to be calling him Santi. I think it sounds nice on the birth certificate, Santiago.”

Santiago, which is also the name of Chile's capital, has Spanish origins, meaning it could be a nod to her mother Joanne Mas's heritage.

Her father hails from Spain, and is affectionately referred to as "Bruv" by his granddaughter Dani.

He even made an appearance on Love Island with Dani's grandmother when she competed on the 2018 series.

She eventually won the competition alongside then-boyfriend Jack Fincham – however, they split less than a year later.

Fincham shocked fans early last year when he announced he had fathered a daughter named Blossom with a "great friend", who was later revealed to be NHS health compliance officer Casey Ranger.

He had chosen to keep the news quiet until the baby's birth, surprising his followers as he declared the news with a picture of him holding the tot.
