Danica Taylor and Jamie Allen have been dumped from 'Love Island.'
The 21-year-old dancer and footballer Jamie, 27, had coupled up on the hit ITV2 reality dating show but were voted out of the Mallorca villa on Wednesday’s (27.07.22) episode just days before the final.
Following her exit, Danica said: "I’m walking out of here with somebody who I genuinely think I’ve got quite a good connection with. I’m so proud of myself. It’s still early days for me and Jamie but we just clicked. I remember the first night he came in and we were just talking. I didn’t know anything about him, I didn’t know where he lived, his family, or his career but we’d spoken all night."
The reality star - who initially faced eviction following the public vote along with Adam Collard and Paige Thorne - went on to explain that she instantly felt the "energy" of Jamie and felt he wanted to get to know the real her.
She added: "I felt his energy and that he really liked me and wanted to get to know me for me – that is a feeling that I hadn’t felt with any of the other guys. When you know, you know and my gut was telling me that this guy likes me and wanted to get to know me. We get along, it’s just easy and natural and doesn’t feel forced. We both bring out the best in each other."
Following the exit of Danica and Jamie, Dami and Iniyah, Adam and Paige, Luca Bish and Gemma Owen, Andrew Le Page and Tasha Gouri, Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu are the final five couples left fighting for the title of winners and the £50,000 cash prize.
‘Love Island’ airs at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox.
The dating reality show can be seen in Ireland on Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Player
